I used to have such a great memory. I never needed to be reminded of anything. But then something happens to your memory when you start to age and your lucky if you remember what day it is. For me, this occurred while my kids were teenagers, who also needed reminders for everything because they always procrastinated. Too bad I didn't find the website HassleMe sooner.
HassleMe has the motto: Because sometimes in life, you just need to be nagged. It is actually a very simple tool. All you do is fill in what you want to be reminded to do, how often you want to be reminded (by days, every day, every 2 days, etc) and your email address. They will then send you an email as often as you requested with the reminder. Obviously, this will only work if you are someone that checks your email on a regular basis.
Some examples of popular hassles that the website gives are "Go to the gym roughly every 4 days" and "Call your mother roughly every 7 days". They use the word "roughly", I imagine, to cover themselves if they are a day or so off.
I would love to be able to set some of these up for my sons. However after you set up a hassle they send a confirmation to the email address that the reminders will be sent to. The receiver of the confirmation email must okay the request, so its not likely to get by my kids. I guess I can ask them to set some up for themselves, but I probably have a better chance of winning Lotto.

This is interesting...I think I know someone I could use this for.
